Fujifilm’s UK headquarters wins CoStar Impact Award
Graftongate’s development of Fujifilm House in Bedford has been honoured at this year’s CoStar Impact Awards.
The new 30,000 sq ft headquarters building has been recognised as the most impactful development at the annual commercial real estate awards.
Judges lauded the green-focused office building as a catalyst for vibrancy and economic activity, which sets new milestones for the market in terms of design, wellness, sustainability, energy efficiency and technology.
Fujifilm House was developed by Graftongate and has secured Fujifilm’s future in Bedford, where it has been based for almost 40 years.
The three-storey building provides a combination of office and dedicated workshop space and exhibition areas. Rated as BREEAM ‘excellent’, it incorporates low energy usage and green technologies, including solar panels, rainwater collection systems, EV charging, stormwater infiltration and a biodiverse landscaping design.
Colin Beasley of Graftongate said: “Fujifilm House is an outstanding development which has succeeded in bringing Fujifilm’s various business fields under one roof. The completed project is the result of years of close collaboration between Graftongate, Fujifilm and Bedford Borough Council and will contribute greatly to local communities in Bedfordshire.”
